Hi,

Sorry for overposting on this topic - an important blog post was published
by the time I sent the last message here, but I had not seen it then - the
Board seems to be discussing the rebalancing of NomCom in ICANN80
<https://www.icann.org/en/blogs/details/chairs-blog-previewing-the-june-board-workshop-and-icann80-05-06-2024-en>
:

Reviews: The Board Organizational Effectiveness Committee will facilitate a
discussion on two pending recommendations from the second Organizational
Review of the Nominating Committee (NomCom): NomCom appointments of
"Unaffiliated" Board Directors *and the rebalancing of the NomCom*. Each of
these topics *has* significant governance implications for ICANN. The aim
of this discussion is to find suitable channels within the Board to further
progress the discussion of these remaining topics.

Help a newbie here: this does indicate that the door may still be open for
us to try something in the following months, right?

Cordially,
