DNS abuse and contractual amendments

I have not done an evaluation of this letter and the whole process yet, at
the first glance, the CPH letter to invite contractual amendment about DNS
abuse obligations with ICANN org doesn’t sound great to me. Here is the

I understand why they want to do it this way (to prevent a PDP obviously)
but we need to be careful here and discuss this letter with them further.
It sure made the BC happy. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe this is the safer way to
go about dealing with DNS abuse that doesn’t expand ICANN mission. What do
others think?
