The way I heard it, they had opted for B Corp over Certification. Could be
wrong!

The other point was that, philanthropically speaking, PIR's focus would be
on the ORG community, rather than, via ISOC, the entire Internet.

What wasn't said was that, by the same token, such funding benefits from
shedding the entire ISOC overhead.
