Dear Rafik and GNSO Council Leadership,I would like to express my interest in representing the GNSO/NCSG as a speaker in the ICANN87 Community Session, “Building a Secure, Inclusive, and Multilingual Internet for the Next Decade.” I believe I can contribute to the discussion from the intersection of Internet governance, cybersecurity, multilingualism, and digital inclusion.Within ICANN, I served on the GNSO Council and contributed extensively to work on Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), Universal Acceptance (UA), including serving as Vice-Chair of the IDN EPDP Working Group and as GNSO Council Liaison. Through this work, I have closely followed the policy and implementation challenges surrounding IDNs and Universal Acceptance and their importance for making the Internet genuinely accessible across languages and scripts.I would also bring a security and resilience perspective to the discussion. My professional and research work in cybersecurity gives me a particular interest in how we can expand linguistic and digital inclusion while preserving the security, stability, resilience, and interoperability of the Internet and the DNS.Finally, I can contribute perspectives from Africa and other underserved communities, where multilingualism, accessibility, capacity development, and meaningful participation remain important dimensions of digital inclusion. The next decade of Internet development should not only enable more languages and scripts technically, but also ensure that communities can meaningfully use, trust, and participate in the Internet ecosystem.I would be pleased to represent the GNSO/NCSG perspective and contribute my policy, technical, and international experience to this community discussion.Best regards,Dr. Farell FollyEnvoyé depuis mon appareil Galaxy
