Hi,
I guess it is better to not accept this late addition since nobody had chance to review it appropriately and the deadline is just less than 3 hours away. I will submit the latest version I sent previously.
Best,
Rafik

hi all,
just after my email, Claudio suggested this edit:
"We stress the importance of Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) for the implementation of the FoI-HR, and value the possibility of deploying the initiative to effectively enact the Human Rights Bylaw
While acknowledging that international human rights instruments only create obligations for States, we recognize the relevance of having the Human Rights Core Value implemented as guidance for ICANN’s decisions, processes, and actions"
no idea how to handle this at a late stage and if we can accept it now. the comment seems sensible.
any suggestion?
Best,
Rafik

Hi all,
please find attached the latest version of the comment for submission. I cleaned up the document and resolved comments such the one from Tatiana regarding Ruggie principles. The comment is fairly short and support the work done by the subgroup
Ayden, Poncelet and Martin supported the comment for submission. I understand that Matt edited directly in the document and assuming he is fine with the rest. with no objection heard from others, we can interpret that the comment is endorsed by NCSG PC to be submitted.
I will submit the comment in the coming hours.
Thanks,
Best,
Rafik

I have made one recent edit to the doc where I suggest replacing the summary text with the actual text from the FoI.

Hi all,
the WS2 subgroup on Human Rights issued a draft document for public comments with regard to the framework of interpretation for Human Rights (https://www.icann.org/public-comments/foi-hr-2017-05-05-en).
I am sharing this to call for volunteers to lead the drafting of NCSG response to the public comments. We have several members involved in that subgroup including Niels as co-rapporteur, Tatiana, Avri and others. please let me know if you want to volunteer for the drafting. I just created a google doc to start https://docs.google.com/document/d/1B8jrJHMAy_hBLNAVSKq7KCu72hi4DY-WUmRN4zTqCJE/
Best,
Rafik
