Hi everyone,
below the response I got to our list of top 5 risks for ICANN.
I see this as opportunity to continue the discussion with them about the
framework and process.
Best,
Rafik

Hi Rafik:
Thank you for sharing your perspectives of the Top 5 risks for ICANN.
Effective risk management begins with proper risk identification and
classification, and your input has been very useful.
Specifically, staff have shared with the Board Risk Committee that several
of the risks raised by Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group reaffirmed internal
reviews that identified the top 10 risks for ICANN. Some of the other risks
identified were newly added to the risk register that is maintained by
staff and reviewed by the Board Risk Committee.
Later in the 2015 calendar year, the Board Risk Committee will oversee the
publication of the first Risk Report produced by ICANN?s Enterprise Risk
Management function that will provide an overview of the framework, the
parameters and the types of risks that are the focus of attention at ICANN.
As always, we remain open to your feedback and input as ICANN improves its
management of enterprise risk.
Regards,
Ram Mohan & Mike Silber
ICANN Board Risk Committee Co-Chairs
