I think I explained the issue of messaging and sharing info when I
responded to NCSG list. I usually receive most of the announcement and
share those relevant to us either to NCSG list or PC list when it is about
appointment etc. Maryam was trying to be helpful to get some workload and
usually check with me before sending. I gave her an implicit approval to
share some stuff. if she mistook this time, thinking that such video was
relevant for newcomer to understand about ICANN, I could fix this easily by
giving her more clear instruction and feedback. now it becomes more
complicated, so I will have to post most of the announcement myself again.
also I would like to hear more facts here, how much non-relevant info or
propaganda we are getting in the list?
If anyone would like to promote response to the PPSAI call

so you are volunteering and committed for the 2 pager for PPSAI? can you
please tell by when you will send it?

Perhaps a bit insensitive to a newbie staff member, who as Ed pointed out in his original email similarly to new NCSG members, might not be aware of the absence of full agreement among NCSG members to take on staff support.

I suspect that might have been Ed?s intent (at least that?s what he said). If anything, it seems to me that some of the responses to his email created more awkwardness in the discussion than the original email did in itself.

The admin support is trying to be proactive andhelpful. Maryam usually check with me about sending announcements (while Istill send most of them) but I gave her an implicit approval to share. we are not supposed to do gatekeeper work but we can do better job to explain the background about those public information.
