Hi all,
Just FYI, there will be a GNSO Council call this week but it looks like we
will not have one to ratify the results of the Board seat election - I'd
originally asked Jonathan to put aside 17 April for that date.
Will keep everyone posted if another Council is called before the May
meeting.
Cheers, m

Dear Maria,
Thank-you for this request.
I have checked up on this and, whilst it is the case that the operating
procedures make reference to "confirmation of election" we will interpret
this as essentially an administrative point and not something requiring a
motion.
Therefore, please do advise the Council of the NCPH selection as soon as
practical and I will then take it upon myself (in my capacity as Council
Chair) to notify ICANN.
The GNSO Council will then take advantage of the next available Council
meeting to confirm this for the record i.e. "confirmation of election" by
simply noting and recording the selection of the NCPH.
Notwithstanding the above, the Council may well need to hold an additional
meeting between now and the next scheduled meeting on May 8th so please
keep an eye out for any further discussion on the scheduling of An
additional meeting.
Best wishes,
Jonathan

*Subject:* Request to re-schedule 10 April GNSO Council meeting to 17 April
Dear Jonathan,
Following up on our brief chat yesterday, the NCPH leadership met and
decided a timeline for the election for Board Seat 14.
We would like to request that the GNSO Council meeting scheduled for 10
April be re-scheduled to the 17 April.
(I relayed to everyone cc'ed that you need to check calendars and are
double-checking the necessity of convening a meeting after the election.)
FYI we believe a short extension from ICANN's General Counsel to the
current deadline of April 16 is possible.
Here are our agreed timings and procedure.
*Timing*:
Round 1: March 31-April 4
Round 2: April 8-11
Round 3: April 14-16
*Votes required for candidate to win*: 8 of 13 (60%). Ensures that
elected Board member has received vote in support of her/his candidacy from
at least one member of each SG in the NCPH.
As I'm going to be offline for the next week, Rudi can follow up with you
on this.
Safe travels and alll the best, Maria
