Surprise

Glitch in the civicrm system is back for organizations and my comments not
saved. Send your comments on organizational applications to this mailing
list until we fix it yet again.

Civicrm needs to be a managed service. It makes things for Maryam and I
very difficult and time consuming like this. I am looking for a company
that can take this on that is decent and actually responsive. I have a cost
estimate from one and am going to get another.

Managed service will cost around 400 to 600 usd a month. But it will make
life easier for everyone and I will look for cheaper options. But as it
stands that is the price. We need to also redesign the civicrm to again
make it easier for Maryam to do the admin. Also Icann doesn't know if ICANN
staff can be involved with membership management so imagine if Maryam won't
be able to handle this.we need a managed system as soon as possible.

NCSG has a budget of 9000 usd for this year. Same as NPOC and NCUC. ( Need
to check how much exactly) I think we should use ncsg money and if possible
and ncuc and npoc agree some of ncuc and npoc budget to make the system
clean and usable and make the approval smoother before the end of my term
so that we don't give hell to the new chair over a broken system of a
previous. Chair...

When I get the cost estimate I would like to ask NPOC and NCUC to allocate
some part of the budget to fixing civicrm. It will be used for their
elections and members database so they will benefit and smoother member
approval.

As to the FC, i will put them in the loop about cost estimate etc.

To maintain their next year and if Icann doesn't give us the same budget to
spend on managed system then the NCSG FC has to come up with a solution to
find money.
