Dear Tapani,
  
 I note that no acton appears to have been taken on my request to the EC of 
28 November that I be granted a leave from my responsibilities as GNSO 
Councillor and that a replacement be named in my stead. I did, as offered, 
attend the 1 December teleconference but regret that due to concerns of a 
personal nature I will not be able to carry out my Council responsibilities 
in preparation for and during the upcoming 15 December Council 
teleconference. I would ask that a temporary alternate Councillor be 
immediately named to serve in my absence through 31 January 2017. If the EC 
is unable to replace me prior to 15 December I note that a proxy will need 
to be named in my absence for that and any subsequent meeting until my 
return.
