Hi all,

As a follow-up, the following report was made to inform the Review of
Reviews Cross Community Group on the current status of ICANN Organizational
reviews, providing a useful overview to understand why a "Review of
Reviews" was deemed necessary. I personally think the material is
succinct and very informative. Here it is (go for the November 7th option,
"Information on ICANN Organizational Reviews"):

https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDOR/pages/376406065/Background+Materials

I note, however, that the report does not aim to inform about the
recommendations that came from previous reviews, nor to detail the
significant issues pointed out by ATRT3
<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/atrt3-report-29may20-en.pdf>
about the reviews that needed to be addressed. It does indicate (although
superficially, but with links to sources for more info) why the process was
transformed into the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP), and the logic
behind postponing organizational reviews until the first cycle of CIP is
finished.

Most of this kind of information, but regarding Specific Reviews, including
expenditures, reasoning of approval or rejection of recommendations by the
Board, and much more, can be seen on the October 7th file (Information on
ICANN Specific Reviews (V2)) of the same link.

I believe that reading these 3 materials and watching the recording of the
RoR CCG last meeting (+slides), most people will be able to understand at
least the basis of what's going on with this (very) complex process.

Cordially,
