Advancing the ICANN Reviews Conversation: Join the Cross Community Group
Webinars
*6 November 2025*
------------------------------
The Review of Reviews Cross Community Group
<https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDOR/overview> (CCG)
invites the community to continue the conversations about ICANN Reviews
during webinars on Tuesday, 18 November 2025. To accommodate participants
in multiple time zones, the CCG will host two 90-minute sessions.
Data-gathering is important to the CCG's fact-finding phase. Participants
are invited to share their views on the successes and challenges of past
reviews (e.g., topics, structure, time frames, and recommendations). Input
on how to shape a refreshed review system will also be welcome.
All community members – including those new to ICANN Reviews – are
encouraged to attend by registering for one, or both, of the sessions:
- Tuesday, 18 November, at 06:00 UTC

Background
In May 2025, the ICANN Board approved a set of resolutions
<https://www.icann.org/en/board-activities-and-meetings/materials/approved-resolutions-special-meeting-of-the-icann-board-19-05-2025-en>
calling for a community dialogue to design a review program that is fit
for the intended purposes of enhancing ICANN's accountability,
transparency, and effectiveness. These decisions followed discussions in
which the Board and community identified the need to take a fresh approach
to reviews.
On 5 September 2025, the Board approved
<https://www.icann.org/en/board-activities-and-meetings/materials/secretarys-notice-secretarys-notice-of-the-icann-board-action-without-a-meeting-05-09-2025-en>
a charter submitted by the Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory
Committees (ACs).
The Review of Reviews CCG, which began its work in September 2025, is a
collaborative effort that brings together ICANN SOs, ACs, ICANN Board
members, and the ICANN organization to manage a fundamental evaluation of
the reviews set out in the ICANN Bylaws, as a whole system, including their
implementation, and propose a refreshed system of reviews.
More information about the Review of Reviews and the CCG can be found on its
community workspace

If you have to focus on just one material right now, I would choose the
summary of contributions made by the ICANN community during ICANN84:

You can then listen to the recording of the Review of Reviews Cross
Community Group that debated those slides:
