Thanks, Andrea, and thanks to everyone from our community who dedicated
some time to participate in this effort!
Just as a follow-up (we didn't have the time to do that on the NCSG
Membership session yesterday), it would be interesting that we started
using our civil society networks to divulgate the next round of new gTLDs
to non-commercial organizations, sharing the toolkits produced by ICANN org
and highlighting the Applicant Support Program
<https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/en/application-rounds/round2/asp> (and
detailing what kind of assistance they would receive) as an important tool
to those organizations without that many resources. Examples of materials
we can share are the ASP deck
<https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/sites/default/files/documents/asp-deck-04oct24-en.pdf>,
the quick start guide
<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/asp-applicant-quick-start-guide-05nov24-en.pdf>,
the checklist
<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/asp-applicant-checklist-04nov24-en.pdf>,
the 2-pager
<https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/sites/default/files/documents/asp-info-sheet-web-27aug24-en.pdf>,
the FAQ,
<https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/en/application-rounds/round2/asp/faqs>and
the system application guide
<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/asp-application-system-guide-05nov24-en.pdf>.
Other resources can be found here
<https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/en/resources/ChampionsToolkit>, and we
are waiting on the detailed presentation about the non-financial
assistance.
It is fundamental for the program to achieve its objectives to reach
organizations that are non-commercial and have a strong Internet presence
but do not have any or sufficient knowledge of ICANN - and NCSG members can
help with that.
The slides we used in this presentation and in the NCUC Issue Forum @
ICANN81 (we shared them in the list back them) are also useful tools to
talk about. If questions arise when doing this outreach, it would be really
fruitful if you could share them with us.
Caleb was talking with Kristy Buckley after the session so the NPOC can
lead a webinar (open for the whole noncommercial community) with a more
detailed presentation on the Applicant Support Program, so another
important thing to keep an eye out for!
Cordially,
*Pedro de Perdigão Lana*
