[Ncsg-discuss] A few council issues for your consideration

heya, Farz,

Thanks so much for the email and apologies for not seeing this sooner.
(mailing list issues still keep me from seeing everything that is shared
here)

See my comments below:

Regarding point one, I also agree w/ the suggested approach.

On point 2, - as we saw this week -, the course of things has changed.
Council will discuss a motion proposing two separate PDPs and suggesting
that (a) we start with the Associated Domain Check discussion and (b) that
council adopts the draft charter and convenes that effort as soon as
practical. At the same time, the motion provides the Council and broader
community with additional time to carefully review, consider, and, if
needed, further develop the second draft charter on API access.

I'm fully aware that our priority was the API access, and that NCSGs
position was not necessarily "approach it at the appropriate time". I was
then wondering if we should oppose this motion - based on the lack of
proper council discussions directed towards prioritization and - given the
short timeline - suggest that we have an extraordinary council meeting to
address this issue ?

Looking forward to hearing what others think.

best,

B
