Inquiry about the .io ccTLD situation.

Thats interesting, although gtlds are recognised as a minimum of 3 letters.
But the ownership of the registry .io is unclear.
I dont know the criteria for creating a cctld, for what is basically a
military outpost of some 25sqmiles: Maybe it should be reasigned to
.mil...thinking aloud.
In the caribbean region, all the cctlds were lodged initially with .pr
until turned over to the respective countries. I guess the same think
happened in that region.
