Hi all

While I found it fair to have the meeting "local" time - it was highly
inconvenient for NA, but I suppose NA is highly inconvenient for SE Asia -
I am still rather skeptical of the idea of regional meeting hubs, for the
reasons that I've explained in the previous thread.

All online is far from perfect, but at least it's the same for everyone,
and so it conforms more with the idea I have of what constitutes a proper
basis for inclusive and meaningful participation.

What remains a half-baked regionalized idea does not quite conform to that,
and it seems it is meant as a solution to somewhat unidentified problems.

Moreover, the priority should be put on improving the online format, given
that 69 will be online, and potentially 70 too (I doubt that any "regional"
format would materialize in 9 months...)

During one of the sessions last week, the idea of cutting back to two f2f
meetings a year was floated and seemingly received some positive feedback
from various parts of the community. I'm not opposed to it, but again I'm
just not sure what community problem it solves. Travel fatigue? Or would it
be just a safer kind of plan in general? I don't know. I think that the
discussion on the N of meetings per year should probably be had, (as well
as the wider discussion on what we want to achieve re meetings), but if we
keep it focused on the question at hand here, that is Org's "return to f2f"
plan, my previous comments and those above still stand.
