IGF Climate Change

Hi Nick, all:

I can comment on this. We actually closed the DCICC down a couple years ago
due to lack of support. The reasoning was that other organisations were
working on sustainability-related concerns vis-a-vis the Internet and
technology. Many of these, however, are not involved in IG spaces.

I've been advocating around this topic since 2016, and there actually will
be climate change and sustainability-related session at the IGF: the
Internet Rights and Principles Coalition (IRPC) will discuss climate
and sustainability as it related to online rights, which follows up from
last year's session.

I can share much more information as well. Thank you for bringing this up!
