Notes from the Meeting with Goran on October 2

Hi everyone,

As I mentioned earlier, I think we had a good meeting with Goran in the one on one earlier this month.  I attach the notes staff prepared from that meeting, with my own comments added.  I had attempted to get some of the budget set aside for the intercessional meeting that has been cancelled, to help us do a little organizational meeting for ourselves and get ready for some of the challenges that are coming at us.  I will continue to work on that.  This is the second intercessional meeting in a row that has been cancelled, and I for one think we are suffering as a result of it.

You will note that apparently I promised a speaker to address issues of climate change, carbon offsets and all that at our meeting in Montreal.  Volunteers welcome, Montreal is a city that cares about climate change so we need to be ready to explain how an organization that purports to run the Internet has to fly in thousands of people to meet face to face, in my opinion....

Comments and discussion regarding the outcomes of this one on one would be welcome.  We have a meeting with the Board in Montreal, I would like it to be as constructive and fruitful as possible.
