What's going on? As presented, the sale of PIR should be rejected by the Board

Remmy,
The links between Ethos Capital and persons within the ICANN orbit have
been documented by others, so that goes beyond a claim.
As to whether ICANN has any clout here, I would like to see ICANN org and
the Board try to rise to the occasion. 

I suspect that they have some clout given the way in which PIR was set up
and obtained .org in the first place.
I would at least like to see them rise to the occasion and make an issue of
the situation, pulling ISOC into the discussion.

SamDi you really think icann has any powers over PIR let alone its board
decision to dispose it to Ethos Capital not withstanding it has some
insider as you claimed.Its the Isoc global that should worry over that may
be reject if they mean well for the community.

	I think there have been many questions raised about this situation on our
list.  Do members wish to do something concrete, and if so, what?  I feel
somewhat constrained as I am a delegated representative for NCSG on the PIR
Advisory Board.  Unfortunately I had to miss a big meeting of the Advisory
Board in Washington DC recently, but I gather this sale was not discussed
there at the meeting so I did not miss any advance notice of this. 

	I am not sure that a letter expressing our concerns would make an impact,
but I am happy to draft and convey such a letter if members think it would
be a good idea.
