Thx James for this reminder.
During election, I applied as from the AFRICA region in my
statement. However, during the Montreal meeting the GNSO staff told
me that the country of residence fits more to be displayed and be
announced when people want to refer to me (also for travels). I
guess that is why ICANN GNSO page displays EU for my region as it
seems to be the country of residence (Germany) that matters for
them. However, I also think that one could choose between two
countries of residence, and especially tell them (GNSO Council
support staff) to change back to AF... again this needs to be
clarified i.o.t know what they need or intend to display on that
page.
Refering to Tapani's message, I also always thought that it is the
country of origin that matters, otherwise; we could have all
councillors from one single continent while they all live or
declare residence on another continent.
