Procedure: Appointment of NCPH ICANN Board member

Dear All,

Please find attached the process for NCPH appointed board members. The PC
has not yet given our final approval, CSG is happy with this process and
most of the NCSG PC members have expressed that the process looks fine.
Before the PC relay its final approval, I thought the members might want to
see the process. If we receive feedback by 20th June from the list we can
consider them in our final round of discussions.

I think we might also discuss adding a section on how to carry out
background checks and due diligence. I don't about those details and have
to find out.

I think we could just go with the ICANN process: "Board members selected by
the NomCom undergo a background check for criminal records and other due
diligence checks through a process provided by ICANN. The At-Large
Community and ASO make use of the same process in their selections. The
other groups use their own processes."  (

Or we could see if we want our own processes.

Something the NCSG leaders need to discuss with CSG and add to the
procedure appointment if necessary.
