I am not going to turn a blind eye to this response Sala because I think
members need to know. Face to face meetings are critical for networking and
representation when someone has something to represent . When someone has
participated in the past that can carry out meaningful networking. When
someone has created a venue and an agenda. Traveling doesn't bring
incentive to involve. And it harms the constituency and the stakeholder
group and regions when people without meaningful participation, without an
agenda attend multiple meetings.
If finance committee at some point has concrete plans that can advance ncsg
interest that requires them to attend an Icann meeting, then sure. They
just have to apply and convince ncsg ec. As I said we will just remove the
language about committees altogether.
