Data Protection and Privacy Update: Seeking Community Feedback on Proposed Compliance Models

ICANN has signed on to the Goldilocks principle with these three
options. Model 1 (Thick Data) is Too Hot. Model 3 (get a subpoena) is
Too Cold.
Up the middle- Model 2 is Just Right (or at least not too hot or too
cold) and comes with limited little bowl (EU jurisdiction) and inclusive
big bowl (global jurisdiction) options.
However, this still leaves open the issue of what ingredients the data
controller can actually put into the "Just Right" bowl.

Is this a baby step forward, or just a re-statement of where we already
happen to be on a long and winding road?
