Hopefully they have joined to make the case for why the technical community should not be involved in content regulation. But I fear I'm giving them too much benefit of the doubt. There should be transparency and community involvement in these important discussions, but sadly I know there won't be, and all we can probably hope for is a vague blog post after the fact.
