CCWG-IG/ Do we want a CCWG on Internet Governance?

The kind of outreach Wolfgang speaks of is exactly why the CCW-IG has organized sessions on these topics at the last few years’ WSIS Forums and IGFs, including this years’ meetings--

But it’s not entirely obvious one needs a formal CCW to do these.  Indeed, the reality has been that we usually end up with a half dozen people rushing to get a proposal in during the three days before the deadlines, with staff getting stuck doing the submission mechanics.

On the other hand, since NETmundial every proposal to prepare materials about even something anodyne like the glory of the ICANN multistakeholder model has been blocked by certain reps saying oh that’s a risky idea, oh I’d have to get sigh off from my constituency, etc etc etc, so we never did anything. Folks who want to try again would have to figure out how to jump such hurdles.
