Nomination of Avri Doria as the chair of the NCSG

Raoul, thank you very much again for this excellent nomination. Avri's work
speaks for itself. Very few people in the Internet governance sphere
(inside and outside ICANN) could possibly claim to have the experience that
Avri has gathered throughout the years. She does not only understand ICANN
from a technical and policy aspects deeply; she also understands ICANN's
place in the whole ecosystem, which is a very important quality for someone
who is expected to chair the NCSG.

More recently, Avri has accepted the huge responsibility to co-chair the
new gTLD subsequent procedures working group, probably one of the hardest,
heaviest in terms of workload and most divisive ones in the current ICANN
policy making landscape. She does it with great substantive and political
skills. She is highly respected from bottom-up and top-down, there is no
one that fails to recognise her value as a participant, as a leader and as
a facilitator of processes.

Avri has a PhD in speaking the "hard thruths" that need to be said -
something which is extremely important for NCSG - and also knowing how to
avoid the minefields and political sensitivities. She can be combative when
needs be; she can be diplomatic when needed. Last but not least, Avri is a
wonderful human being, authentic, loyal and kind.

All the support to Avri for this position if she chooses to accept this
nomination.
