Ria -- Discussion of the hidden and overt policy impacts of ICANN policies | |
About Ria | |
The purpose of this informal working group is to pool our issues and concerns that are related to policy repercussions resulting from ICANN actions. Some of those policy repercussions amount to regulation, the establishment of best practices which become de facto requirements, and open the door to content regulation on the part of ICANN or its contracted partners. Since we are engaged in a strategy to integrate an HR impact assessment at ICANN, and ensure respect for privacy law and policy, we need a clearinghouse to clarify our policy on various cross cutting issues.
