On behalf of the APRALO Leadership Team, we would like to invite you to
participate in the *ICANN87 APRALO-hosted At-Large Plenary Session entitled
**DNS Abuse Mitigation: Charting Next Steps* held on *Wednesday, 21 October
2026 at 10h30 local time for 90 mins*.



The At-Large Community continues to believe that more can be done to combat
DNS abuse on a number of fronts. You will recall that during ICANN83 and
ICANN85, the ALAC held plenary sessions which engaged the ICANN community
in a collaborative conversation on this topic. These were to establish
stronger cross-community understanding of continuing widespread abuse cases
for better scoping and identification of possible redress.



This ICANN87 At-Large Plenary will facilitate a continued focus on
proactive action to combat DNS Abuse, in order to better protect Internet
end-users from harm and to promote trust of the DNS. Through this
collaborative community conversation, we seek to:

   - Examine the progress of ongoing GNSO PDP and its implications for
   addressing DNS Abuse;
   - Share and encourage community feedback on the ALAC/At-Large
   Community’s observations on the DNS Abuse mitigation gaps; and
   - Identify additional priority gap(s) in the DNS Abuse landscape that
   should be considered for future policy development efforts.

 The *draft *agenda is:



   1. Welcome, Scene Setting, and the ALAC Perspective (10 mins)
   2. Interactive Audience Poll to gauge audience awareness, understanding,
   and expectations (5 mins)
   3. Stakeholder Perspectives: Invited speakers share their insights and
   experiences (30 mins, 5 min per speaker)
   4. Moderated Audience Discussion and Q&A (20 mins)
   5. Reflections and Recommendations: The Way Forward from invited
   stakeholders (18 mins, 3 mins per speaker)
   6. Key Takeaways and Closing Remarks by the Moderator (5 mins)



Could you please either confirm your availability to participate as a
panelist in this At-Large plenary by Tuesday, 15 September 2026 or in the
alternative, nominate a representative to participate as your group’s
panelist.

We would warmly welcome the presence of your representatives to the DNSAM
PDP 1 on Associated Domain Checks and other experts for the discussions on
draft agenda items.



Please also let us know if you have preliminary questions regarding
your/your representative’s participation in the session. *Kindly note that
we may schedule a call with confirmed panelists to prepare for this
session, should that need arise.*
