Dear all,

Please find below the communication from Marika on behalf of the ICANN org
Next Round team regarding their session planning for ICANN87. If you
remember, the set-up was similar in Mumbai, the sessions can be scheduled
against, but would appear on the block schedule as an FYI for when
community groups start scheduling their internal sessions. This may also be
helpful in discussing Community Session topics with your community members.

Kind regards,

Nathalie

Dear SOAC Leaders ICANN Meeting Planning Committee,

As planning for ICANN87 has started, the New gTLD Program Team would like
to share our thoughts on plans for the meeting to help inform your planning
but also to hear any feedback you may have. Our approach is informed by the
2026 Round projected timeline which would see Reveal Day taking place prior
to ICANN87. If the projected dates need to be adjusted following the close
of the application window, we will also need to modify these plans
accordingly.

   - *Plenary-type session – Reveal Day and beyond:* Review statistics and
trends derived from Reveal Day information; highlight upcoming actions for
applicants and the broader community; and provide an opportunity for Q&A.
   - *Daily focused sessions, schedule permitting:* Offer topic-specific
sessions relevant to applicants and the broader community to help them
prepare for what comes next, such as the Replacement String period,
community input, objections, and singular/plural notifications.
   - *Dedicated 2026 Round booth:* Provide a dedicated space where staff
will be available to demonstrate the new platforms, the Application
Publication System (APS) and Application Comment Forum (ACF); answer
questions; and collect feedback from applicants on their experience during
the application submission window. This feedback is intended to help inform
improvements for the current round and future rounds.

If you have any questions, or feedback, please let me know.

Best regards,

Marika

VP, New gTLD Program Lead
