Dear SG/C Leaders,



As you may be aware, the GNSO Council voted to initiate
<https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/resolutions/2020-current#202512> a PDP
on DNS Abuse Mitigation on 12 DEC 2025 and adopted
<https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/resolutions/2020-current#202601> the
charter
<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2026/draft/charter-dns-abuse-pdp1-v3-15jan26-en.pdf>
 of PDP 1 on 15 JAN 2026. This notice to leadership is to determine if your
respective community intends to nominate and put forward participants for
this new PDP. Each group will identify Members, Participants, and
Alternates. Observers, who are interested in these policy deliberations,
will have the ability to enroll, but they will not be considered active
participants of the PDP. Please review the charter for full details. Per
the charter, the PDP will consist of representatives from each SOAC & SG/C
that chooses to participate.



The table on pages 8-9 of the charter

 displays the maximum number of representatives that each group may
nominate, in each role, to represent their respective group.



*ACTION REQUIRED:* If your group intends to participate, use your own
procedures to determine the qualified candidates you wish to represent your
group. *Please complete this action, including your representatives’
enrollment, no later than* *09 FEB 2026*.



Part 1:

Please email gnso-secs at icann.org who these community members will be and
the role (Member, Participant or Alternate) they will participate as.
Conversely, if your group does not intend to participate, please also notify
 gnso-secs at icann.org accordingly.



Part 2:

Once you’ve determined who your representatives will be, please pass along
the attached instructions (PDF) so they may immediately enroll into the
GNSO PDP via ICANN Join and create or update GNSO Statements of Interest.
Only forward the PDF attachment to your designated participants as it
contains a unique enrollment code.
