that I would prefer someone active on the topic to be the panelist.
The session is clashing with our scheduled PC session on that day.

Dear Rafik,



On behalf of the ALAC Leadership, we would like to invite you to
participate as the NCSG panelist in the ICANN85 At-Large plenary session
entitled *Progressing the DNS Abuse Mitigation Agenda* held on *Tuesday, 10
March 2026, 10:30 - 12:00 Mumbai Time (90 mins)*.



The ALAC and the At-Large Community continue to believe that more can be
done to combat DNS abuse on a number of fronts. You will recall that during
ICANN83, the ALAC held a plenary session which engaged the ICANN community
in a collaborative conversation on this topic. This was to establish
stronger cross-community understanding of continuing widespread abuse cases
for better scoping and identification of possible redress.



This ICANN85 At-Large Plenary will retain a focus on proactive tasks to
prevent harm from malicious registrations. Through this second
collaborative community conversation, we seek to:

   - Examine the progress of the ongoing GNSO PDP 1 on Associated Name
   Checks;
   - Discuss how the community might establish better coordination to
   tackle Domain Generation Algorithms (DGAs)-based abuse; and
   - To identify which other priority gap(s) should be subject to policy
   development next.



 The draft agenda is:



   1. Welcome and Recap - Moderator (3 min)
   2. Progress of GNSO PDPs on DNS abuse mitigation, in particular PDP 1 on
   Associated Name Checks (25 mins)
   3. Tackling Domain Generation Algorithms (DGAs)-based abuse (36 mins)
   4. Next priority gap in DNS abuse mitigation (25 mins)
   5. Closing (1 min) - Moderator



*Could you please confirm your availability to participate as a panelist in
this At-Large plenary by Monday 9 February?*


We would also warmly welcome the presence of your representatives to the
PDP 1 on Associated Name Checks and other experts for the discussions on
agenda items 2 and 3, respectively.



Please also let us know if you have preliminary questions regarding your
participation in the session. *Kindly note that we may schedule a call with
confirmed panelists to prepare for this session, should that need arise.*
