Notice alert.



The call for nominations for NextGen Mentors and Selection Committee
members will be going out in the Community Digest on *Monday, 31 August*.
The process within the GNSO is a bit more complicated with so many SG/C’s.
If more than one name is put forward, we use a random draw process but see
note below “If we receive nominations from more than three SOs/ACs, they
will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, but ICANN org will
prioritize groups that have not had Selection Committee members in the
past.”



With first come, first served, the deadline for GNSO will be Monday, 14
September 2026.





Both positions:



*NextGen at ICANN Mentor Program Nominations*

The NextGen at ICANN Program is seeking nominations for three (3) positions in
the 2027 Mentor Program. These mentors will guide the NextGen participants
through the mentorship process during the ICANN88-90 meetings. ICANN will
provide travel funding for the appointed mentors to attend these meetings.



Each Supporting Organization (SO) and Advisory Committee (AC) is invited to
nominate one individual for a total of three spots. Nominations can include
program alumni, and we encourage the selection of active community members
who are passionate about mentoring students. SOs and ACs can also choose to
renominate previous mentors. Please note that individual self-nominations
will not be accepted. All nominations must be submitted by *Monday, 9
November 2026* to Fernanda Iunes at fernanda.iunes at icann.org.



If we receive nominations from more than three SOs/ACs, they will be
accepted on a first come, first served basis, but ICANN org will prioritize
groups that have not had mentors in the past.

*NextGen at ICANN Program Selection Committee Nominations*

The NextGen at ICANN Program is seeking nominations to fill three (3)
positions on the Selection Committee. Each SO/AC is invited to nominate
*one *representative to serve on this committee for a total of three slots;
please note that individual self-nominations will not be accepted. SOs and
ACs can choose to renominate previous Selection Committee members.



NextGen at ICANN Selection Committee members will serve a two-year term
starting with applications for ICANN89 at the beginning of 2027.

The Selection Committee reviews all applications submitted through the
online system and determines which applicants meet the posted selection
criteria. Each committee member is expected to commit about 30 hours over
four to five weeks for each application round.



Interested community groups should select their respective NextGen at ICANN
Selection Committee volunteers by *Monday, 9 November 2026*, and notify
Fernanda Iunes at fernanda.iunes at icann.org.
