Hi all,

We should suggest a name to be discussant for this session. I assume from
those who helped to draft the public comment and/or participated in the
discussion.

Best,

Rafik

Dear community leaders,

We are reaching out to you as each of your community groups provided input
during the Public Comment period on the draft ICANN Community Participant
Code of Conduct on Statements of Interest. We would like to invite you to
nominate a member of your community to participate as a discussant during
the upcoming ICANN82 Community Dialogue session on this topic. The
Community Dialogue has been scheduled for *Monday 10 March, from 16:30 –
17:30* local time in Seattle.

As highlighted in the Public Comment proceeding, “[b]road community
engagement and dialogue on the Code is essential before the Code (amended
as needed) can be adopted”. To maximize the time available during ICANN82,
we are proposing that the Community Dialogue session focus on the question
of enforceability and enforcement, including the respective roles of the
ICANN Board, the community, and the ICANN Ombuds. We hope you agree that
this is a fundamentally important topic for which broader community
discussion and feedback can be invaluable, and we will share a list of
suggested questions with you that the community discussants can use to
frame their comments during the session.

We understand that there are strong demands on everyone’s time during an
ICANN Public Meeting, whether one is attending in person or virtually.
Nevertheless, we hope that you will be able to nominate one of your members
to participate in this discussion. Please let us know if that is the case,
and we will proceed to work directly with the nominated participants to
ensure that the dialogue is productive and optimizes the hybrid time
available at ICANN82.

Thank you!

Cheers

Sam & Mary
