What @Juan Manuel Rojas <jumaropi at yahoo.com> said below, that's it. This is
an SO role, so we usually just forward the announcement to our folks, which
Andrea already did. I have never known a process where GNSO asks for formal
recommendations. My understanding is that all interested candidates from
GNSO throw in their ticket in a hat, and the SSC picks from the hat.
