Julf --
As noted, the CSG accepts Tomslin as vice chair for the upcoming term.
We agree that he is qualified and we are willing to reappoint him as
vice chair as an act of good faith and our ongoing efforts at
cooperation between our SGs. Thank you for notifying Andrea of this
appointment.
As you know, the CSG has strong concerns that going forward the CSG and
NCSG cannot effectively consider new appointments until a new,
well-articulated agreement is reached. We look forward to discussion of
that subject as part of our Day 0 agenda.
Safe travels and see you in Hamburg.

Hi Mason,
The NCSG leadership has discussed the VC selection situation over the
weekend. We feel that Tomslin has the best experience and background for
the VC position, so we continue to propose and support him. We are more
than happy to start a discussion about the VC selection process, but
feel that the successful appointment of Chris Buckridge shows that the
Board Seat 14 process works as it is, as long as the process is started
early enough, and all parties work in good faith.
I am happy to discuss the situation - I am available today until
17:00 UTC (10 am PDT).
Julf
