Dear David,

We share the concerns Sally expressed, and are looking forward to
working with Melissa in the mediation process. We are also very
thankful for your support of the process.

I agree fully with the urgency of the nomination, as well as with
your reminder about how Board members don't serve in a representational
capacity. To us the main criteria for a candidate for Board seat 14 is
ability to work on behalf of the whole community as an effective member
of the Board.

As to any possible changes to the process described in Annex 7 of
the GNSO operating procedures, agreed to by both NCSG and CSG in
2018, it is outside the scope of the mediation process. We are happy to
sit down with CSG at ICANN77 to discuss any changes, but for now our
priority is finding an agreement on a suitable candidate for board seat
14 as soon as possible.

Best regards,

	Julf
