As a result, a Public Comment proceeding which seeks input on proposed amendments of the NPOC charter to inform ICANN Board consideration, is now open. You can find more information here https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/not-for-profit-operational-concerns-constituency-charter-amendments-04-10-2022 The comment period ends on 14 November 2022. I am sure it would be very helpful and supportive of NPOC if an NCSG comment is submitted supporting the amendments. So, if there are folks keen to draft a comment for this, please let me know off-list. Warmly, Tomslin -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... You can find more details about its mission and role here https://community.icann.org/display/GSSC/2.+Charter. My understanding is that this is a very low workload role, with no technical expertise required, just the ability to make good appointment decisions guided by NCSG principles. So, I encourage folks to consider volunteering for this. Please send your EOI to the Chair of the NCSG Policy Committee ( mesumbeslin at gmail.com) and copy (julf at julf.com) by Friday 14th October. On the second recommendation, I think we should go against convening such a pdp. As you mention this is going to end up with registration monitoring and blocking which .EU and others have done and I disagree that it is an optimal solution. An appeals mechanism is not a sufficient response. So Id go against the pdp altogether.
