FYI – The Council has given two assignments to the SSC as detailed below 
(Fellowship Mentor and Fellowship Selection Committee member). The SSC 
will be meeting soon, likely next week, to go over the assignments. 
Additional details about the proposed timeline for the first assignment 
are included below.

Are there any updates available about the selection of the two remaining 
SSC members from the NCSG? It would be great to have them on board for 
these selection processes.

This is a recurring assignment for the SSC with a standard EOI that has 
been used over the years. The EOI is now open with a close date of 21

The following is a suggested timeline for the assignment:

   * 1 December 2022: Launch Fellowship Mentor EOI
   * 21 December 2022: Deadline for Fellowship Mentor EOI
   * 22 December 2022: Open poll for SSC members complete on Fellowship
     Mentor candidates
   * One day prior to SSC meeting in the first week of January 2023:
     Close poll for SSC members complete on Fellowship Mentor candidates
   * First week of January 2023: SSC meeting to discuss Fellowship Mentor
     candidates
   * 9 January 2023: Motion Deadline for February GNSO meeting –
     placeholder motion possible
   * 18 January 2023: Last day to submit name of recommended candidate
   * 19 January 2023: GNSO Council meeting – Council confirms candidate
     recommended by SSC
   * 31 January 2023: Deadline for the GNSO to submit name to the
     Fellowship Program

This is the first time that an EOI is being opened for this position and 
the first time the SSC has been assigned to select a Committee member. 
The GNSO Council is now finalizing the EOI materials and will launch an 
EOI in the coming 1-2 weeks. The SSC will likely complete its selection 
process in the second half of January once the EOI process is closed.
