Hi,
I have snt several notifications of this review to the NCSG PC. Think I
also sent some to the Discuss list. As one of the co-chairs of the PDP
WG, I am pretty much convinced we don't really care about any of the
questions.
questions cover
- should there be more gtlds application opportunities
- should there be categories which are treated differently in the
application process
- should we keep working with rounds of go for a fcfs procedure or
something else? currently we use the trial by ordeal method, though we
call it a round.
- how do we balance predictability and flexibility. Is one more
important that the other
- how muc community engagement in the application process should there
be. What sort?
- should there be limits on the number of gtlds in a procedure or for
one applicant.
As I say I have never noticed great caring about new gTLDs in the NCSG
except on some spot issues - like open vs closed, geo names for gac
&cctlds, property rights (being covered in the RPM groups), communities
And where we may care, like communities, we probably have a split opinions.
