Message-ID: Hi all, I guess it would be good to have a (last?) meeting before ICANN 69. On my side of the agenda, I'd like to have your approval for a development time block with Wapix in order for us to be able to make some more progress with our systems. Currently on the "to-do" list is the wrapping up of mail server issues that arose following our hosting provider change, the migration of the NCSG mailing list to mailman, which would in turn allow us, one day, to have a moderation policy. Anyhow I am now somewhat settled and functional in Germany and so it will be easier for me to attend calls than it has been for the previous 3 weeks. However given that this is being published on a publicly archived mailing list, I find it more prudent to leave it in comment mode only. Make sure that you can be identified when making suggestions, either by logging into a google account or signing your comments/edits. The main outstanding point is to decide whether to issue the call for a chair first (and as a standalone) or to issue a call for members and then organize the election of a chair from those members. There are various ways to look at this, and I do not have a strong commitment to any option, although what came most "naturally" to me was the election of the chair from the members, probably because this is what I have witnessed in policy development. I have flagged the relevant parts. Let's give ourselves until Thursday COB UTC in order to hopefully publish the call on Friday. Again Joan and Ioana I would kindly ask you to circulate this with the NPOC EC. Have a nice Sunday, -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Date: Mon, 28 Sep 2020 13:24:43 +0000 From: Barbara Wanner To: Stephanie E Perrin CC: csg-excomm at ICANN.org , BC Executive Committee (bc-excomm at icann.org) Hello Stephanie, Hope this finds you well amid continuing challenges posed by the pandemic. I am reaching out today on behalf of the CSG. I am the BC?s representative to the CSG; the BC will lead CSG planning for ICANN 69. As the CSG?s Philippe Fouquart has been selected as the new GNSO Council Chair, has the NCSG decided who you will put forward to succeed Rafik (who I understand is term limited) as the GNSO Council Vice Chair? Per the NCPH agreement, the CSG invites the NCSG to propose a GNSO Council Vice Chair for the October 2020-21 term. Thanks very much, and we look forward to your reply, Barbara Barbara P.
