[NCSG-EC] Welcome to the NCSG EC

Dear EC,

First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the NCSG Executive
Committee and apologize for the extra amount of time it took for us to have
the Constituencies appointments. If you are receiving this email it means
Maryam has successfully added you to the EC list and you are now part of
this committee.

Following up on this, I understand that some of you are rather new to this
committee and/or SG so I would like to share with you the link to our
Charter, an interesting reference document for us moving forward and where
you can all read a little more on the role of the NCSG EC and so forth. In
terms of our role as a Committee Id like to highlight the following points:

- Work with the NCSG Chair to ensure the NCSG mission and principles are
met;
- Supervise and monitor NCSG elections;
- Approve new NCSG members, administer and maintain membership records, and
determine new membership status;
- Resolution of disputes between NCSGs constituencies;
- Review and approve - after membership - NCSG PC and FC methods and
procedures;
- Establish liaisons with ICANN Sponsoring Organizations, Advisory
Committees and other structures.

With regards to the second point, in the upcoming days you shall receive a
note with regards to logging into our membership management platform, where
we assess and approve membership requests. Last but not least, I have
requested a first meeting for us this thursday, 17 December 2020 @ 13:45
UTC for 60 minutes. Please let me know if this slot works for you!

I would say that is it for now! Welcome onboard and expect one or two
emails - a day - from me (jk). Im looking forward to working with all of
you!
