[NCSG-EC] Resignation from the Chairmanship of the NCSG

Dear Colleagues,

As some of you are aware, I have decided to resign as Chair of the NCSG.  It is my belief that I do not have the confidence of the membership and former leaders of the NCSG.  I seem to be incapable of effectively chairing a meeting, and this is a new experience for me which I do not wish to continue. I do not appear to share the values of the group, and this troubles me deeply as I so not wish to lead a group of people who do not share my views as to what is right and what is wrong.

If you would be so kind as to appoint an interim Chair, effective at the end of this meeting, I will step down and clear the field for candidates who are more in line with the views of the membership in terms of priorities, strategies, and acceptable behaviour.  Hopefully we can get the election doen before Cancun.

Thanks very much for all your support, it has been a great honour to serve with you.
