[NCSG-EC] Urgent: need a temporary alternate for the Council meeting tomorrow

OK, I have not heard back from anybody with objections.  Sam has confirmed he ca do it till mid January when we should be ready to name our new person, I hope....in time for the next meeting.

Glad you feel that way, I took the liberty of asking him since he was here clutching a plate of cherry pie when I got the news....It would be nice to find a different candidate, but it is the last council meeting of the year and it would be good to have someone who is more or less up to speed.  There is not really enough time to go to the full list unless someone wants to volunteer to manage it, I have to get some actual job work done today....

I was just visiting with Sam Lanfranco who is willing to do it again, but we used him for the Montreal meeting, so it would be better to find a new person.  He is, however, up to speed on Council issues which is a decided plus and he has no intention of applying for the longer term temp alternate.
