I wrote to Glen stating that all of the NCSG travel funding slots have all already been fulfilled. Therefore, the only funding we can allocate/use is your main one, which is the CCWG and their approved date of arrival/departure is: Thursday, March 9, 2017 - Saturday, March 11, 2017.

constituency review questionnaire. I hope to be able to send
it out before Copenhagen meeting, preferably early next week.

by NCSG Charter 2.3.3, to determine if any recommendation should be made
to the Board regarding a change in status of any Constituency.

To that end we ask you to answer to the questions below.

1a) What is the purpose of your constituency, as defined
    in your bylaws?
    (Preferably both link to your bylaws in the web as
    well as copy of the relevant text.)

1b) Are all your members also members of NCSG (yes/no)?
    (This is just formal confirmation that you fulfill

1c) What is the the common interest or background of
    your membership and the focus of your group?

2) Do you have a publicly dynamic, publicly (world-readably) archived
   mailing lists and where their archives can be found (URL)?

   If you have other, non-public fora that are used for
   decision-making or significant discussions within your

The new application form is now in production, we've changed all (I hope)
links to it, any new applications will go to the CiviCRM.

We'll be using it for real for the first time in our meeting in
Copenhagen on Saturday. Noting some of you haven't had the time to
experiment with it yet I expect you'll have questions and probably
suggestions for improvement, too - the EC member interface is still
a bit rough at the edges, we concentrated on getting the public view,
what applicants see, polished first (which doesn't mean it could not
be improved but it's already at least as good as the old one, I think).

I notice on the ICANN agenda it says this is an "EC mtg" with the board members, is that right?  I seem to recall this discussion used to be open to all NCSG members at the mtg who wanted to chat with the board members.  Is that still the case and this discussion is open to all our members at the mtg and the schedule on the ICANN website labels it inaccurately?  Or is this now a discussion that is just open to NCSG EC members at the meeting?

Hi Robin,

Yes, officially it is EC meeting with board members, and formally
closed just like our own meeting, but we've welcomed all NCSG members
anyway in normal EC meetings too - the closedness has been because we
didn't want CSG &c flooding the room and the scheduling system only
had two choices, open and closed.

Likewise for this one, I would like to invite all NCSG members in,
and I indeed thought we'd already agreed on that.

But we should still set the agenda, and while we should of course
give the membership a voice, we have the first bite so to speak.

So we could, for example, set up our own agenda with one item like
"open mike for members", or we could have no items of our own
initially and ask for suggestions in ncsg-discuss to start with,
or even go to the meeting with no agenda at all and make it
just one open mike session.

I'm open to all alternatives. Opinions?

Dear EC members,

Would you be available for our next meeting on April 7 at 1300 UTC?

I know the time isn't convenient for all, but after coming Daylight
Savings Time changes there are exactly two hours in the day that
aren't between 00 and 06 for any of us, if I got it right:

UTC  	    1300
Toronto	     9am
Los Angeles  6am
Banjul	     1pm
Helsinki     4pm
Melbourne   11pm

and

UTC  	    2000
Toronto	     4pm
Los Angeles  1pm
Banjul	     8pm
Helsinki    11pm
Melbourne    6am

In either case it'll go past midnight for someone if we need more than
an hour, and someone's got to wake up at 6am in any event (and for
Monika it'd be Saturday morning).

So unless some of you like meetings at odd hours, I propose to
have our calls at either of those hours, perhaps alternating or
deciding case-by-case depending on people's availability, or
sticking with the first one if Robin prefers mornings and wants
to make life easier for Monika.

While at it, looking at the calendar for subsequent meetings the next
one could be May 5, then June 2, then some day in Johannesburg, then
July 21 or 28, then August 18 or 25. If you already know you have
conflicts with these dates, please let me know.
