[NCSG-EC] Temporary alternate to Johannesburg

Dear All,

Yes, Avri and/or Micheal sounds good to me. Perhaps we should use the slot strategically - to cover people's travel, or then appoint an alternate who has travel but still give travel slot to someone else who needs it (as I dont think its a good idea to just to let it go).

So whats Avri's situation - she is covered fro 2 days only, but flight is also covered?

Monika

Kind regards,

Hi Robin,

I believe Michael is coming to Johannesburg as NCUC EC member,
so travel-wise it would be an easy solution.

Likewise Avri, who's traveling there as CCWG-Acct member (only
supported for two days but staying the entire meeting, she could use
the hotel room I believe).

I'm sure both of them could handle the job. Poncelet's point about
maintaining gender balance would favour Avri, though even if we go
with Michael there'd still be two women.

Another option would be Anriette Esterhausen, who lives in
Johannesburg - I don't know if she'd be interested but I could ask.

Of those three, Avri would be rather obviously best qualified, and by
far the most experienced, but we could consider other factors, like
giving others a chance to get more experience.

Any of them would make Constituency Travel happy. :-)

But if there us someone we'd like get there who otherwise couldn't
and who could go and be effective in the council, we'd have a
travel slot available.
