While we haven't heard from Poncelet yet, let's fix the time - if he can't make it we'll fall back to the process of giving one week after the meeting to express disagreement if needed. My agenda looks like this: * member applications * Hyderabad preparations * to-do list for EC (discussion) * AOB Note, all of you are also welcome to add topics to the agenda - this does not need to be 100% chair-driven! If you do it'd be good to do so at least 24 hours in advance, as Robin suggested, at least for any decision items or issues needing non-trivial discussion. Discussion-only topics can be introduced under AOB if time permits, but I'd rather try to keep the meeting short, so please don't surprise us with anything other than simple announcement type things. Hi Robin, Thank you (and apologies for the bad time - I know how it is, like right now having stayed up past midnight and woken up at 5am). (Milton Mueller just said he's drafting one for NCUC EC, I don't know if NPOC is planning one.) Tapani ----- Forwarded message from Edward Morris ----- Hi everybody, Within the last hour the United Senate passed a Continuing Resolution funding the United States government through December 9th. No rider related to the IANA transition was attached. The transition will very likely occur, as scheduled, Friday night. The ICANN Board has held off filing the necessary documents with the State of California to implement the new Bylaws reflecting the work of the community through the CCWG. They stated that they wanted the transition to first occur. Fine. It will occur on schedule. We can not allow any further delay in the filing and enactment of the new Bylaws. I expect there will be a number of lawsuits challenging the transition, in full or in part. We need to be proactive to ensure that the Board does not use the possibility of these lawsuits to further delay the needed and overdue Accountability reforms. I would respectfully ask the Chairs and Executive Committees of the NCSG, NCUC and NPOC to send a clear message to Steve Crocker and the Board: We expect the new Bylaws to be appropriately filed and the provisions within enacted upon immediately after the transition has occurred. Not one day later. We have waited long enough. Respectfully, Ed Morris Sent from my iPhone ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Tapani Tarvainen From encantarg Thu Sep 29 22:53:45 2016 From: encantarg (Form Notifications) Date: Thu, 29 Sep 2016 19:53:45 +0000 Subject: [EC-NCSG] NCSG Membership Application: Form submissions detected Message-ID: <94eb2c032588de9d9f053daad5d4@google.com>
