Do you think we have NCSG support for rejecting Recommendation 1 and
participation of the GAC. Do we really know the views of the
stakeholder group on any of the recommendations? Have we had full
conversation on all views on Discuss list?
I do not think that there has been enough discussion on the NCSG list
for you to make any rejection claim in the name of the NCSG. There had
not even been a PC discussion of all issues as far as I know.
/our comments cannot be based on the strong positions on ICANN of just
a few. There are a lot of compromises in this draft and we will just as
likely lose things we value as fix things we are not fully comfortable
view as we reopen issues.

In each case we made it clear why we were opposed. For example recommendation one which I wrote says that we can support an empowered community but we do not support the inclusion of the GAC. On some of the recs we are unlikely to get the changes we want but at this stage it's good to make it clear where we stand.

I would support coming out strongly in favour of the realisation that the work is not perfect and some issues need to be worked on more now or potentially for some issues in implementaiton.
