Unless there's something missing, in my view and according to the piece, it
would seem it's unclear what basis the infrastructure manager should be
punished for the publications made on platforms running on its
infrastructure. This may not totally be supportive of free expression. :)

I do not think that publishing on a platform should make the management or
the owner of the underlying infrastructure liable for the content published
through the platform. Otherwise, it would simply be a case of, *"giving a
dog a bad name to hang it"*. I think it's important that no unfortunate
precedent is set in this case.

For example, there have been many confirmed cases of terrorist-linked user
accounts on then *Twitter*. Would it be best to say that *Jack Dorsey* (then),
is a terrorist sympathizer?

During the initial rampage of ISIS, when its then brutal leader - *Abu-Bakr
al-Baghdadi*  unfortunately beheaded *Peter Kassig *- an American aid
worker, in 2014, through the *British ISIS member,* the gory video was
shared via *YouTube*. Would it make a lot of sense to say that *YouTube* is
a terrorist sponsor or that *Google* is building infrastructure for
terrorists?

Well, I personally do not think so and hope the incident does not portray
"not walking the talk".

In any case, I hope we'll see more context as more information becomes
available.
