[Notes] From 1 to 1 call with ICANN CEO

Hi all,

I attached notes regarding the call with the ICANN CEO a few weeks ago and
for which I got some questions to ask from the list. You can find the
summary of the responses there. To some extent, I think he responded in an
expected way like in the Afrinic case.

As a first impression, I think the CEO seems open to listen to us, getting
our concerns and issues, keen to learn more, taking into account all
positions and trying to balance (which I believe is not an easy matter). Of
course, words need actions to be true and so I believe we have to
observe and monitor carefully how he will act in the coming months on some
topics. I would say we can be cautiously optimistic till told otherwise.

I tried my best to pass the message about NCSG and what we stand for in
terms of positions and to other groups. I also tried to emphasize why we
can about the process and follow it. We will continue the messaging about
NCSG and the positions we advocate when possible such as at the ICANN
meeting.
