Dear Members,

 We are pleased to announce the launch of the
NCUC Quarterly Webinar Series, an initiative by the NCUC Executive Committee
(EC) aimed at expanding outreach, deepening engagement, and amplifying
non-commercial voices in ICANN and global Internet governance.


The webinars will provide a regular platform
for discussion, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, focusing on current
ICANN policy developments, DNS policies across the regions, and Internet
governance topics that matter most to civil society and non-commercial
stakeholders. Each session will also serve to promote the mission and work of
NCUC while fostering global participation across all ICANN regions.

The first
edition of the NCUC Quarterly Webinar is tentatively scheduled for the first (1st) week of August, 2025.  The date and time will be communicated before the end of this week.


Call
for Regional Speakers

We are inviting nominations (including
self-nominations) for five regional speakers, one from each ICANN region, to
give first-hand reports and understanding of Internet and digital policies in
their regions:

●       Africa

●       Asia-Pacific

●       Europe

●       Latin America & the
Caribbean

●       North America

Speakers may be NCUC members or external
experts with a deep understanding of Internet Infrastructure, ICANN policies,
human rights, DNS Abuse, intellectual property, internet technologies, and
internet governance. We welcome diverse voices and encourage participation from
underrepresented regions and communities.

Each speaker will be invited to discuss
specific digital policies and other internet-related issues within their
region, based on a central policy question that will be developed and
communicated in advance by the Executive Committee.

After nominations are received, the NCUC Executive Committee will promptly
review and select five speakers, one from each region, who will then receive
formal invitations to participate in the upcoming webinar.
The EC will also appoint a moderator for the session
from within the NCUC leadership or wider community. 

The
discussion topic and session concept note will be shared by the end of next
week. Also, we encourage members to suggest topics on this list to help shape the broader focus of the discussions.

the Webinar Series
Frequency: Quarterly (every 3 months before an
ICANN meeting)

Duration: 70 minutes

Format: Virtual, open registration

Features: Thematic presentations, interactive
Q&A, real-time polling, and member engagement segments

Target Audience: NCUC members, civil society
actors, academics, NGOs, researchers, technical communities and broader
Internet governance stakeholders

Each
webinar will:

●       Highlight regional
perspectives on DNS and internet policy

●       Feature expert insights
from civil society and technical communities

●       Provide updates on ICANN
and NCUC policy work

●       Include a dedicated
segment on NCUC membership benefits and opportunities

members to help identify strong speaker candidates and ensure broad
